Our mission is to “heal the sick, relieve pain and suffering, and improve the quality of life for the people we serve” and our vision is to be “recognized by the people we serve as the provider of choice for their health care needs and as a leading force for progressive change within our community.” Those are the core principles that shape who we are and what we do every day.
There are several ways we measure and set quality goals.
The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey is backed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The survey is used to improve the quality of health care. HCAHPS makes survey results public so hospitals are aware of where changes are needed. The results also enable healthcare consumers to review and compare hospitals before choosing a health care provider.
After you are released from the hospital, you may be selected to participate in the HCAHPS survey. The survey asks multiple-choice questions about your hospital stay. Please take the time to fill out the HCAHPS survey; your feedback is valuable!
