Team Leader of the Year

Jerrod Davis, RT(R), RDMS, RVT was recently named the 2009 Team Leader of the Year at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. Davis is Director of the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the hospital. Davis is a native of Ohio County and is the son of Jack and Mildred Davis of Beaver Dam.

Team Leaders at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center provide direction for each of the departments within the hospital. There are approximately 35 Team Leaders at the hospital.

A Team Leader is expected to provide guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to the employees who report to them, said Deneace Clemmons, Chief Operating Officer at TLRMC and Davis’ immediate supervisor. "Jerrod's familiarity with imaging technology was evident when I first interviewed him for his position. From the beginning, I have been extremely impressed by his clinical knowledge and desire to delivery quality patient care."

When asked about receiving the award, Davis responded "I was very surprised. We have an extraordinary leadership team, any of which are deserving of this honor. I am very proud."

There have been many advances in diagnostic imaging at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center over the 8 years that Davis has worked at the hospital. According to CEO Steve Meredith, that is in large part due to Davis’ leadership.

"I have always been impressed with Jerrod’s ability to have his thumb on the pulse of the latest developing technology. His efforts have allowed his department to be one of the most advanced among, not only small, rural hospitals, but any hospital in this country."

Davis is quick to share credit for his recognition. "I am most proud of the people I work with, especially the Diagnostic Imaging staff and Radiologists. I have never seen a more caring group of people. I am also proud of the technology that TLRMC provides to the community." Davis listed several advances that have occurred over his time at the hospital. "We have been first in a number of technological advances. We were first in the region to go filmless with PACS (Picture Archival and Communication System). We were first in the region to offer 4D obstetrical ultrasounds to expecting parents, and we were the first community hospital to offer 64 slice CT."

Davis and his wife, Monica, have a daughter, Kennedy and a son, Jackson.
