Relay for Life
TLRMC employees and others raised over $14,890 for the American Cancer Society through 2009 Relay for Life events! For the second year in a row, the TLRMC team won the award for Top Fundraiser. The amount raised was almost $3,000 more than the goal.
Money was raised through several events including a bake sale, a yard sale, a pancake breakfast, a softball tournament and grilled hot dog lunches. Several departments put together baskets filled with items that were raffled off. Brown t-shirts with "Fight like a Girl" in pink lettering were another very popular fund raising item.
Plans for the 2010 Relay for Life team are already beginning. Please let Carey Sims know if you would like to be a part of the team next year.
