Several friendly and cuddly, but quiet, faces welcomed kindergarten students from Grayson County to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center recently. Employees used several special teddy bears to help demonstrate procedures the children may one day face during a future hospital visit.
Over 300 kindergarteners from Caneyville, Clarkson, Lawler and Wilkey elementary schools and Leitchfield Christian Academy came to the 2010 TLRMC Teddy Bear Clinic on May 5 and 6. The Teddy Bear Clinic teaches youngsters about things they might have done to them at the hospital or at their doctor’s office. This is at least the 19th year for this annual event.
